Yes – but it must be done correctly. Moving an oil tank involves safely pumping out the remaining fuel, disconnecting oil lines, removing and repositioning (or disposing of) the tank, and reinstalling everything to OFTEC standards. Attempting this without a registered contractor can void your insurance and create environmental liability.

We safely remove all remaining oil from your tank. Oil can be transferred to a new tank or collected by a licensed carrier.
All oil lines are disconnected and the tank is safely removed. We clean up the area and remove all associated pipework.
If relocating, we site the tank in the new compliant position and reconnect. If decommissioning, we arrange proper licensed disposal.
New oil lines are fitted, valves and gauges installed, and the full system tested before we leave.
If you no longer need an oil heating system, we can fully decommission your tank. This includes pumping out all remaining fuel, degassing the tank to make it safe, disconnecting and removing all pipework, and arranging disposal through a licensed carrier.
A decommissioned tank that is left in place without proper treatment can become a safety hazard and may affect property sales. We provide written documentation of the decommissioning work for your records.
